My dad named our tuxedo cat after his favorite hockey team, the chicago blackhawks because he likes to bat around at little pieces of his food and shoot them across the floor almost like he is playing hockey.

In the 1979-80 season, Our region had a minor league hockey team, known as the Baltimore Clippers, and Christmas of that year(1979), my mom gave me a present, which was a Green, White and Gold male parakeet whom I thought was funny when he (playfully,of course) attacked and flew around the house as fast as the fastest skaters of the sport so I named him as such (Clipper). Been gone for about 25 years, but I miss his antics! (Especially when he stood atop one's head!)
